Kichler Landscape Lighting

Landscape Lighting can be an easy and creative way to improve the value of your home. A well lit front yard adds curb appeal while providing an added level of security. With all the options out there, here are a few Landscape Lighting Tips:

  • Use well placed path lights along any walkways in your front or back yard. Path lights should be spaced 5'-8' apart depending on the light output.
  • Using tree mounted flood lights and angling them downward will create a soft "Moon Light" effect. Downward facing lights also help eliminate light pollution in your neighborhood.
  • Wall washers are a nice option to use behind bushes lining the front or back of a home.
  • Well and Underwater lighting can create a beautiful outdoor retreat. Lighting a pond or water feature allows you to enjoy it day or night.
  • Deck and Step lights are a great way to accent your outdoor space. Step lights provide an added measure of safety, allowing people to easily see darkened steps. Deck lights provide subtle illumination around a deck without using larger wall mounted lights. Deck lights come in all shapes and sizes, including some whimsical creatures.
  • Landscape Lighting Low Voltage fixtures offer a greater variety of sizes and bulb types. Low voltage landscape lighting is safer for use outdoors because it reduces the risks of electrocution when installing a system or repairing one.
  • Find Landscape Lighting Transformers with a timer or photocell to efficiently utilize your system. Use a timer to have the system turn on and off at specific times. A photocell would automatically turn the system on when it senses darkness and then turn off when the sun rises.
